World-oriented, modern and united,
Quebec is a proud, creative and dynamic society;

Come be a part of the thousand faces that make up
Quebec, a modern and united society

On Sunday October 1st 2006 Montreal-based photographer Sonia Jam held a third larger-than-life event at the Grande-Place in Complexe Desjardins. Her objective was to feature on a single picture the thousand faces that define modern day Quebec society, from multiple generations families to newly minted immigrants, the Tremblay, Gagnon, Blanchette, Lopez, Abdou, Patel or Nguyen… of Quebec!

This unique event, the first of its kind ever to be organized by Immigration et Communautés culturelles Québec, was held as part of the "Semaine québécoise des rencontres interculturelles".
