"This passion for photographing maternity was unearthed in 1997 during my very first photo shoot featuring a pregnant woman. It was an absolute revelation, love at first sight; I had discovered my true calling. This led me to work on making myself known as a photographer specializing in immortalizing pregnant women on film.

I wanted to create the world's largest get-together for pregnant women in order to celebrate the shooting of my 2000th picture featuring a pregnant woman. On August 21st 2005, in Angrignon Park in Montreal, I was able to make this dream come true thanks to the hundreds of you who answered my call.

This picture is brimming with joy, love and a powerful energy, channelled by your genuine and magnificent smiling faces. Thank you so very much for participating in this event, I was overwhelmed upon seeing you all so beautiful, so radiant. Thank you for every day that you have given the great gift of life, for unveiling before me your life-filled rounded bellies. Bravo and stand proud, you are pregnant, you are a bearer of life.
